This is a nice section that (if I recall correctly) runs along the Anacostia River levees and passes through a few community parks. It also passes by College Park Airport, which is billed as "the world's oldest continuously operating airport".
This trail section roughly parallels the Metro Green Line, with College Park being the nearest station. At Lake Artemesia, the Northeast Branch Trail meets the Paint Branch Trail which provides access to the University of Maryland.
