Washington DC's Rock Creek Trail is a collection of paved multi-use paths and on-road bike route.

A traffic free Saturday on scenic Beach Drive.

The northern section follows Beach Drive (on-road). I would not recommend this section during the week. However, on weekends it is closed to motor vehicles.

The southern section follows a narrow path. It passes several great points of interest like the National Zoo.
