The southern tip of the trail network provides a good "jumping off" point to downtown DC. Two routes that provide guidance are the The Great Washington Loop and the Washington to Baltimore Route. Each of these routes leave the trail near 38th Street (Rt 208 on map), but take slight different routes over to Catholic University.
